The General Practice Residency (GPR) Program at NYU Winthrop Hospital is a twelve-month program with second-year option. The GPR program is a fully accredited residency program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Unites States Department of Education. The Commission on Dental Accreditation can be contacted at (312) 440-4653. Our program participates in the National Post-Doctoral Dental Matcing Program (MATCH) and the Post-Doctoral Application Support Service (PASS).
The mission of the general practice residency program is to provide residents with advanced knowledge and skills that will enable them to perform evidence-based, comprehensive oral care in a professional and ethical manner to a culturally-diverse patient population including those with special needs.
