- The collaborative, supportive culture at NYU Winthrop Radiology makes it easy for junior residents to become introduced to and involved in radiology research throughout their first year of training. The quarterly research meetings also aid in this process. Our senior residents also routinely encourage our junior residents to initially assist with projects during their first year, making it much easier for them to take a more active leadership role in research during their second year of radiology training.
- The NYU Winthrop Radiology Department strongly supports resident research, and most residents have research projects presented at one or more national or international radiology meetings each year.
- Dedicated research time is available for residents who are primary author on a project accepted for oral presentation at a major national meeting and are preparing a manuscript for submission.
