NYU Winthrop Hospital’s Internal Medicine program offers flexibility in elective choices. This flexibility allows residents, with the guidance of a faculty mentor, to tailor their 10 Months of Elective time towards their future interests/career goals. Elective rotations provide residents with experience in both ambulatory and inpatient subspecialty medicine. Our subspecialty faculty is eager to teach and foster residents who rotate on their service. Protected elective research months allow interested residents to fully focus on their research projects.

NYU Winthrop Hospital residents interact on a one-to-one basis with sub-specialty attendees.
