Welcome to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Winthrop Hospital. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website to learn more about the clinical, academic and research opportunities we have to offer. We sponsor a five-year ACGME accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program with three residents in each year of training. The overall goal of our residency is for residents to obtain the necessary knowledge and experience during their five-year program to successfully complete the certifying exams of the ABOS (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery) and to enter the practice of orthopaedic surgery as well-trained, highly competent orthopaedic surgeons. Our faculty and staff are committed to creating and sustaining an optimal educational environment for acquiring knowledge and developing and honing technical skills in all aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery.
The mission of the NYU Winthrop Hospital Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program is to provide the foundation for a lifetime of learning and practice of orthopaedic surgery, and to produce graduates who exemplify the highest ideals of our profession. It is our purpose to excel in clinical service, education, and research while maintaining the highest ethical standards and providing compassionate health care services. We are looking for house staff members who are energetic, enthusiastic, diligent and dedicated to providing unparalleled patient care. Please feel free to contact us if you would like additional information regarding our program.
