Welcome Message

The Department of Urology at NYU Winthrop Hospital is pleased to introduce our newly accredited ACGME residency training program in Urology. This five-year program will sponsor five residents, with one resident in each year of training. The Urology residents will have training in both adult and pediatric urology.

The mission of the NYU Winthrop Urology Residency program is to train well-rounded Urology physicians who will be prepared to enter careers in the area of their choosing: fellowships, academics, private practice or research. The program is devoted to educating urologists of the highest quality capable of delivering the best care to patients, and who are prepared to become leaders in the field. The urology residency program will provide a rigorous learning environment to prepare residents for the American Board of Urology examination. Our ultimate goal is to prepare urologists for success in the future, by teaching them the ability to think critically, act collaboratively, and thrive in the challenging environment of Urology.

The faculty and staff are committed to creating and sustaining an optimal educational environment for acquiring knowledge and developing and honing technical skills in all aspects of urology. We are looking for house staff members who are energetic, enthusiastic, diligent and dedicated to providing unparalleled patient care.

NYU Winthrop Hospital is a 591-bed university-affiliated medical center and NYU Winthrop proudly offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery. In addition to sponsoring 24 residency and fellowship programs.
